Description

NativePrintingConfigConsole.exe is a utility program which helps to setup some registry values for the ExtraFax Native Printing (Attachment Rendering) process.

This utility program would setup the registry values for the following third-party software products:

Pre-requisites for running the utility program

- Make sure Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 has been installed on the ExtraFax server.

- Make sure Adobe Acrobat/Reader, Microsoft Office and/or IrfanView have been installed on the ExtraFax server in case you need these software products for rendering the corresponding fax attachments.


Steps to run the utility program manually

1. Download the zip file of the utility program from above.

2. Extract the content of the zip file to an arbitrary folder (e.g. c:\temp)

3. Open an elevated command prompt (i.e. right-clicking the command prompt's shortcut and then choose the "Run as administrator" option).

4. Switch to the ExtraFax Installation folder.

5. Execute the utility program by typing this command: NativePrintingConfigConsole.exe -a

Additional steps required if ExtraFax server is not running with the Windows local system account or an account in Administrators group:

6. Open a regular command prompt.

7. Switch to the ExtraFax Installation folder.

8. Execute the utility program by typing this command: NativePrintingConfigConsole.exe -a
Note that the utility program would return warning message in case either Adobe Acrobat/Reader, Microsoft Excel, or IrfanView has not been installed. You can simply ignore the warning message in case you don't need to use that software for rendering.
