Transfer ownership of a document

If you are the owner of a shared document you can transfer the ownership of that document to another user.

There are two places where the ownership of a document can be transferred, from the Inbox and from the ExtraFax Cloud Document Viewer when a document is open.

From the Inbox

  • Log in and navigate to your Inbox,
  • Locate the document you would like to transfer the ownership of in your queues, click the 'Transfer Ownership' icon on the toolbar as seen below:

  • The 'Transfer Ownership' window will appear.

  • In the ‘Transfer Ownership’ window, specify the User you would like to transfer ownership of the document to. Once you begin typing a list of suggested users will be displayed,
  • Add a message to the user if required and assign yourself updated permissions for the document.
  • Click the ‘Transfer’ button to confirm the action.
